NHG Acquires Artspace Hartford

Hartford, CT — The New Haven Group (NHG) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Artspace Hartford, a prominent live/work apartment property located at 555 Asylum Avenue in downtown Hartford. Steven Inglese, Principal of NHG, confirmed that an affiliate of the firm has purchased the four-story, 66,000-square-foot building, which includes 46 residential units that feature one, two and three bedroom lofts and a dedicated gallery space to showcase local artwork.
Originally developed in 1997 to support affordable live/work housing for artists, the building was converted from a multi story industrial building into housing for the artist community. The apartments are 100% affordable under a Low Income Housing Tax Credit Agreement (LIHTC). The transaction included the assumption of an existing HUD loan.
Strategically located across from the Hartford Train Station and bus depot, Artspace Hartford is a true transit-oriented development (TOD). The property offers direct views of the Connecticut State Capitol and Bushnell Park and includes a mix of studio, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom loft-style apartments.
Leasing inquiries should be directed to Imagineers, the property’s management and leasing firm. For more information, please visit www.ArtspaceHartford.com.
